I went to see our 'friendly' spiderman with my wife. I tell you she loves to see animation movies (thanks to my efforts coz am a big freak animation maniac). But somehow she didnt show much interest in this movie. For the record, she didnt say much about the X-Men too. Until she nagged me to watch it over again. So they said try it to believe in it. Yeh.. crap!! Anyways, the movie was good. I liked it. Though my critical sense had its own pessimistic spirits even before I watched this movie, I liked it better than what i expected.

Though there were a lot of sensitive scenes and stuff, the movie fared well given my expectations. Too bad that I dont read comic books anymore. But I still remember how crazy i used to be for them. Some people think its childish to have an affection for comic books and animation movies. Watch out you!! And repeat after me, 'they dont know what the hell they are saying'. For me, I treat them the best of anyone's imagination. Occassionally, you have to check your child in yourself else you will eventually lose out. With that said, if you haven't watched the movie yet just do it.

What i dont want to see in the future spidermans is.. The actress 'Kirsten Dunst'. She looks too old and i dont like her. So, bring in my favourite, 'Scarlett Johanssen' and I would I love to see her in the next movie. And call her 'S.J'.

Ever wondered how this Internet is making people millionaires and billionaires. And we as users played a major part of that game. And when sites like youtube.com get sold for deal you can only imagine. Isn't it fair if there is a share of the value you can get out of this deal? Why someone will wonder I am talking this now. Hey, everyone has a need for money. Except for those sanyasis everyone is after money. We like our money to grow and not become a zero. So no point in believing that you dont need it. Because its just a Myth. So with that said, get in the game and make the money.

There are these bloggers who have this policy of not showing google ads in their blogs. Yeah well!! If thats something of your opinion that google is making money out of your blog then well and good. I personally feel that these ads complete the look of the website. Anyways, that may not be your opinion. I dont make that much money of my site either. May because I dont have that much readers . It doesn't matter I think these ads bring a special look to the site.

Now, Akshay Makani, has created this network which will enable to make money of our surfing time over the internet through his novel idea. I have signed up at the moment I got to know about it. Of course its an interesting concept and I would like to get my money back on the time I spend on the internet. Looks like the network is growing too fast now. So if you think this interesting you can sign up too. Its about Mani ratnam and his movies. Let me say that I was once a big fan of his movies. I have really liked his Roja, Mouna Raagam, Alay Payudhe, Nayagan, Idhayathai Thirudadhe, Anjali, Dil Se and Kannathil Muthamittal. Those are the movies I could say were the best show of his brilliance. Atleast thats what I think. Its a big list for sure. And that makes him one of the best directors from Indian cinema, especially South Indian cinema. Why that statement? Because, I dont think he has connected with the North Indians that much. May be a majority of them dont connect with real movies but only the 'dance around the tree and love making' routines. Anyways, at least majority of south indians connect piously with his well directed movies. It sounds like am passing any judgement here but its only my views.

Ayudha Ezuthu(Yuva) was a healthy flop. Why I say so? Because, I dont think it can be trumpeted to be a better directed one. It had numerous shortfalls to make it a good movie. No wonder it failed across the country. But now, he has come up with his new one aptly titled Guru. I am hearing its based on the story of Ambani. Hmm. Oh Yeah! Who is the guru here? Anyways, I doubt the hindi audience this time as well. Also, I seriously doubt the pair of Aishwarya rai and Abhishek bacchan. Both cannot act and both of them are the most hyped flops in the industry!! Period!! So, whats the strengths here. A.R.Rahman!! As usual. I believe he has tuned one brilliant album. Lets see how it fares. I doubt the hindi viewers a lot when it comes to Mani Ratnam!! They are better off with Karan Johar's idiotic variety. The taste of cinema between the north and south is totally different. Lets see how mani has compromised that in advantage to the north. It doesn't in anyway mean that the south is making superior cinema.
How to screw up the visualization of a cute song sung by the one and only 'Shreya Ghoshal'? Learn it from the director of 'Jilendru Oru Kadhal'('Sillunu Oru Kadhal' for tax purposes). He will be there to help you. Oh yeah!! I saw the stupid movie and I hate everything about it. First of all, the ones I liked about the movie. Surya and Jyothika combo, A.R.Rahman's music and the Shreya Ghoshal's songs in the movie. Nothing much!!

But after watching the visualization of the song and its timing I couldn't help think that this movie should be an utter flop. Hey, I thought about it even before that. Because the direction sucked big time. The story line was okay. And bhoomika chawla, why the hell she is acting at all. And the voice behind her. Simply doesn't co-exist. Lucky that I didnt pay a single penny but watched a download. Never mind the money, but how can you fast forward the scenes in a cinema theater? That way am sane.

Anyways, for all those Shreya Ghoshal lovers, there is a nice treat from her in the movie album, 'Veyil'. I guess it was tuned by the nephew of A.R.Rahman, G.V.Prakash. Commendable for the first timer. The song was simple and beautiful. And who doesn't say she is mind-blowing? Raise your hands!! I will show you the hell once and for all.

How can one not be sinuated to the tune of 'Munbe Vaa.. En Anbe Vaa...' glazed with the perfect rendition of Shreya ghoshal? She is the one sweetest singer who just keeps me asking for more everytime. More to this fact, she is cute and lovely too . Okay! This song is from the A.R.Rahman's latest tamil album, 'Jilendru Oru Kadhal' (literally meaning a chilling love).

movie. That will be a major downside. But my love for Shreya Ghoshal
will never subside. My wife hates that fact, of course. Hee hee...
So much for my epic love for 'Shreya Shreya 'n Shreya', that my wife
says she is not that cute. Oh yeah! Sure!! What else you got? I still like her. Hee hee! Her voice just keeps driving me crazy!!

As I have indicated in my prior posts, I am sure 'Maestro Illayaraja' likes to give her atleast one song in all his albums. I cannot remember any movie album without her song in it. Man!! Illayaraja's tunes and the shreya's sweet voice. Is that some kinda stunning combination or not? No wonder, all her songs tuned by Illayaraja are worth hearing a million times. There is no exception to 'Shiva 2006', the new album tuned by Illayaraja. The interesting fact behind this album is that the songs were tunes of Illayaraja's greatest hits from his golden times. They have come out sweeeeet.

Especially the 'Saarah ye aalam' song, which is a complete rewire of the golden hit, 'Ananda Ragam' song. It was originally sung by Uma Ramanan. Now, the tune has come back to life with this new album quite vibrantly. Shreya ghoshal should be really lucky to sing it again and I dont doubt if any one else deserve the stature.*wink*. Man, somebody stop me the looping in my brain all the time now. What an adorable number!! So much ..

There were times when cigarette smoking was considered the mark of man. And later, mark of woman as well. The movie industry for its part helped this awareness of cigarette smoking by lending its top heroes posing in a variety of styles. And for those who couldn't afford the ever increasing rates of cigarettes, there were this 'ulaipaliyin utra nanban'(workers best friend) beedis. May be because the price of cigarettes increased over the time or the public became more smarter or the whatever the hell happened, now its considered not that stylish to smoke cigarettes. The government also helped to diminish this situation from alarming levels by imposing all kinds of taxes.

Now, we have the similar kinda problem and now its not just adults who are involved in this but also young kids and just borns. Such is the effect of carbonated drinks that rule the soft drink world right now. Yeah! Coca-cola (akka mala) and Pepsi (gabsi) are the ones am talking about. I think many people dont realise these are slowly addictive drinks (may be because of the caffeine in them or just because once Coke had cocaine in that during its early years). Okay, I was addicted once and may be twice and even preferred the cherry coke for a long time.

Anyhow, the situation is transforming into something interesting nowadays. Reason: Pesticides in soft drinks. I really have some problem about this allegation. Is it the ground water thats used in the drinks is contaminated or the ingredient itself is contaminated? I have no answer. But I definitely believe these carbonated drinks are good once in a while. And as a habit it will be the worst on earth. I know people who buy these drinks in big cartons and drink all through the day. Not a good deal. For one, you are exposing yourself to risk of obesity, diabetes etc.

I prefer cool buttermilk with added salt & cilantro or fresh coconut milk anytime. Still there is a temptation to go for these stupid carbonated drin ..

Yeah!! It was not like what I thought it should have been. Largely disappointing. But Shyamalan tried to tell a different story this time. I actually thought the movie had some good laughs, good characterization, good acting(Paul Giamatti), good pace, good direction. So, what the heck I am disappointed about? I guess its the usual twist that he leaves his viewers enchanted with? Hmm. I dont want to follow that herd who is looking for twists.

Actually, I liked the suspense and twists from his earlier movies. But I dont look for them all the time. Because, I think he is a better story-teller and director and thats what I care about the most. This time around, I thought there is something not right in the story. Yep!! I admit and fall in line with certain critics who lambasted him with their advance reviews. Not that I join their parade in attacking him. But that, I just felt that he tried to tell a story without much stuff in it.

I said it, there is not much of a storyline in the movie. Thats why I couldn't like the way I wanted it. Still, I believe he is a talented guy and will come around strong in the future breaking the nose of each and every naysayer critics.
I am going to watch M.Night Shyamalan's 'Lady in the water' today!! I never read the pre-reviews of the movies I go to watch. But MNS is an exception just because of the curiosity for this director. Okay! I have to admit I believe he is a fabulous director who carves each scene sincerely and he does well all the time. That makes me one biased for the M.Night Shyamalan's works. But trust me, i do think 'Unbreakable' was too dark. So, I didn't go around boast about Shyamalan promoting that one. But as far as the story telling in that movie, I liked it though.

But I did read what these so called 'critics' are saying about Night Shyamalan. Okay!! They were so cheap and gross. Instead of reviewing his movie, they were talking about 'how egoistic MNS is!' and all sorts of crap that they were paid to write against. Thats what I think as a pre-cursor. These idiotic critics have no idea what they are writing but were sincerely attacking him. Some othem even attack him for being a person of indian origin having a big ego in Hollywood. Too personal criticism than a movie criticism.

I donno why MNS left disney but I believe all these pre-reviews were just meant for vengeance against his ego. These sucker critics just love disney so much it seems and they dont want a guy to go against a corporation. Its all stupid if you could ask me. I dont like what MNS did by telling the world and creating a controversy with his experience with the disney breakup in a book. But looks like there was an attempt at it for marketing. Oh! Thats something which is not my taste.

But hey, there is only 3 positive reviews for this movie and MNS. And these were sincere. The others were brutal and I don't consider them reviews but vehement all-out attack out of vengeance on a good director. Thats my opinion. Let me review this movie once I watch this weekend. And these days, who cares these movie critics and their paid criticisms. I think we need someone to criticize ..
